PLACE: In the Commissioners' Courtroom on the first floor of the Hopkins County Courthouse located at 118 Church St., Sulphur Springs, TX.

The following items will be considered by Commissioners' Court for discussion and/or action: The Court may go into Executive Session to discuss legal matters.

ORDER OF BUSINESS

1. The Court to declare a quorum.

2. Consent Agenda:

A. The Court to approve the minutes of the previous meeting(s).

1. Special Meeting - september 22, 2006

2. Regular Meeting - September 25, 2006

3. Special Meeting - October 2, 2006

B. Approval of utility easements, burial of telephone cables and construction of water distribution facilities:

1. The Court to consider approving a request from Farmers Electric Cooperative to construct power distribution facilities along & across the right of way on County Road 1179, an oil top road located1,310 ft. north of FM 1567 in Precinct 1.

3. Other County Business

A. The Court to consider approving the appointment of an Election Judge for Precinct #11, Cumby Community Center.

B. The Court to consider action on bids for generators pursuant to the County Purchasing Act

C. The Court to consider acting on bids for a Volunteer Fire Department Cab & Chassis Vehicle pursuant to the County Purchasing act.

D. The court to consider acting on bids on a 2006 or 2007 pickup for Litter Abatement Office pursuant to the County Purchasing Act.

E. The Court to review the progress report from Harrision, Walker & Harper regarding the Inter-Modal Facility.

F. The Court to consider approving Section 504 Resolution to establish 504 Grievance procedure.

G. The Court to consider designating the County Auditor as the Fair Housing/Equal Opportunity/Section 504 Coordinator for Texas Community Development projects.

H. The Court to consider approving a resolution, as required by the Texas Community Development Program, establishing rules and regulations regarding the use of excessive force.

I. The Court to consider and approve rescinding the amendment to the Hopkins County platting procedures and subdivision regulation exception (r) (4).

J. The Court to consider and approve increasing the permit fee for Septic Systems in Hopkins County from $220.00 to $260.00 for a single family resident and $320.00 to $360.00 for Commercial/Institutional/Multi-Family.

4. The Court will consider and act on payment of bills, revenues and expenses and financial statements.

5. The Court to consider budget amendments and line item transfers.

6. The Court to consider contracts:

A. The Court to consider approving a revised contract with Versitec regarding scanner maintenance.

7. The Court will consider and act on personnel matters.

8. The Court to consider disposal of asset request.

9. The Court to approve resolutions and proclamations.

10. The Court to consider Citizens' comments.

11. The Court to adjourn.

Commissioner's court will provide assistance to the physically and hearing-impaired if notice is given to said Court 48 hours prior to each scheduled meeting date.
