Department Description
Hopkins County has a contract with NET Data, a computer software company, to service all Hopkins County offices with an on site, site manager. This has proven to be beneficial to all offices.

The scope of service of the IS department is to provide:

• Hardware support for all computers, printers, scanners
• Software support for NET Data (AS400 applications), RVI (Real Vision Optical Imaging), Internet support, other software support as needed
• Training both for individuals and for departments as needed or requested by the department or office head.

Department Objectives
To continue to hold users meetings and upgrade programs and equipment when necessary and maintain good communications with each office.

• Add/Delete/Change user information at the request of the Dept./Office head or Supervisor
• Upgrade/Replace hardware as needed
• Add additional computers to offices and areas as needed
• Upgrade/Add software as needed
• Train users - individually as needed to keep up on software and hardware changes
• Instructional classes - set up classes to train individuals and departments on a variety of software applications
• Maintain internet connectivity - setup and maintain email and other internet access as needed
• Submit CJIS reporting
• Webmaster
• Recommend changes and improvements to existing systems
• Maintain owned/leased scanning equipment
