Ables, husband of the former Miss Vergene Williams.  Entered the Army Air Corps in April, 1942, trained at Blackland Army Air Field, Waco, Texas; served in South America, N. Africa and Italy; now on duty at Victorville Army Air Field, CA. Has the Air Medal, two Oak leaf Clusters, and ETO Ribbon with Battle Stars.

ACKER, Avon C. Pfc:  Son of Mr. And Mrs. J.H. Acker, husband of former Miss Cleo Baxley. Entered the Army Infantry in April 1944, trained at Camp Wolters, Camp Swift, Texas; served in Italy, Austria, and others; now on duty at Camp Carson, CO. Has ETO Ribbon with battle Stars and other Honors.

ACKER, Billy Joe: Son of Mr. And Mrs. Carl Acker,. Entered the Navy in May, 1944, trained at Farragut, Idaho and in California; now on duty at Grand Prairie, Texas. 

ADAMS, Claud H. Jr. Sgt.:   Son of Mr. and Mrs. C.H. Adams, husband of the former Miss Doris Summers. Entered the Army Infantry, in February 1945, trained at Camp Hood, Texas and Ft. Ord, CA; now on duty in the South Pacific.

ADAMS, Cecil W. Pfc: Son of Mr. and Mrs. C.H. Adams. Entered Army Infantry in November, 1943, trained at Camp Fanning,
Camp Howze, Texas,and Ft. Meade, MD; served in Ireland, Scotland, England, France, Poland, and Germany; now on duty at Camp Crowder, MO. Has Good Conduct, ETO Ribbons, Battle Starts, Expert Infantry, and Pres. Citation; Prisoner of Germany nine months.

ADAMS, Audy P. S 1/c: Son of Mr. and Mrs. Albert B. Adams. Entered the Navy in  March 1944; trained at the Naval Training Station, Farragut, Idaho; served in Hawaii, , Pelieu and the Philippines; now on duty in the Pacific. Combat Ribbon with Battle Stars, and other honors.

ADAMS, Loye B: Son of Mr. And Mrs. Albert B. Adams, husband of the former Miss Lillian Beatrice Anglin. Entered the Navy in November, 1943; trained at San Diego, CA; served in Hawaii, Philippines, Netherlands, Indies, and on New Guinea and Iwo Jima, now on duty in Pacific. Has Combat Ribbons and Battle stars.

ADAMS, Walter J. Sgt.:  Husband of Mrs. W. Adams, Oklahoma. Entered the Army in 1942, trained at San Francisco; served in
Sicily, Italy, France and Germany; now on duty at Schoolenhausen, Germany. Has ETO Ribbon with Battle Stars, Combat Medal
and Good Conduct medal.

ADAMS, J.T. S 1/c RM; Son of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Adams, attended  ETSTC. Entered the Navy Air Corps in July, 1944, trained at Jacksonville, FL, Memphis, TN and Miami, FL; served at Pearl  Harbor, Kwajalein and Marshalls.

ADAMS, Eulice N. T/Sgt: Son of Mrs. Ada Adams, husband of the former Miss  Mary Young. Entered the Army Air Corps in 1936, trained at Barksdale Field, Sparton School of Aeronautics, OK, and others. Served in Manila, Philippines and Japan. Has Combat Ribbon with Battle Stars, Pre-Pearl Harbor Ribbon and other honors. Was POW at Fall of Bataan and Corregidor.

ADAIR, George   D. Pvt.; Son of Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Adair. Entered the Army in December 1942, trained at Camp Howze, Texas; received Honorable Discharge in August 1943.

ADAIR, Richard E. Pfc: Son of Mr. and Mrs. Ray E. Adair, husband of the form Miss Dorothy Nell Lowery. Entered the Army in
February 1943, trained at

ADAIR, Lewis W. FM 1/C: Son of Mr. and Mrs. J.W. Adair, husband of the former Miss Marie Newson. Entered the Navy in April 1944, trained at Gulfport, MS. Melville, RI; received discharge in January 1945.

ADAIR, Locket Pfc: Son of Mr. and Mrs. Steve Adair. Entered the Army in  July, 1942, trained at Camp Robinson; and Ft Bliss, Texas; served in Hawaii and on the Gilberts, and Okinawa. Has Combat Ribbon with Battle Stars, Bronze Star, Good Conduct Medal and other honors.

ADAIR, Lowell R. Pfc: Son of Mr. and Mrs. R.E. Adair, Husband of the former Miss Jewel Mays. Entered the Army in October 1942, trained at Camp Bowie and Ft Lewis, WA, served in the Philippines. Has Pacific Ribbon and other decorations.

ADAIR William P. (Willie) Pfc: Son of J.S. Adair, husband of the former Miss Faye Massey. Entered the Army Air Corps in March, 1943, trained at Miami Beach, FL and Tampa, FL. Discharged in  September 1943.

ADAIR, Charles R. Cpl.: Son of Mr. and Mrs. C.F. Adair. Entered the Army Air Corps in April 1942. Trained at Geiger Field,
Spokane, WA; served in India, China and Burma Theatre. Has Combat Ribbon with Three Stars and Good conduct medal.

ADKINS, Charlie Cpl., son of Mr. and Mrs. Watt Adkins. Entered Army in June 1942, trained at Camp Wolters. Served in

AGEE, Douglas H. S/Sgt.: Son of Mr. and Mrs. Carl S. Agee. Entered the Army Air Corps in July, 1942; trained at
Sheppard Field,
Sioux Falls, Ft Myers, FL and others; served in England, killed in action October 8, 1943, over Bremen, Germany.Awarded Citation of Honor Air Medal, two Oak Leaf Clusters and Purple Heart.

ALBERTS, Herman D. T/Sgt.: Son of Mr. and Mrs. C.A. Alberts. Entered the Army Air Corps in January, 1942, trained in
Australia, served in Australia, New Guinea, East Indies, and Philippines; received honorable discharge in September 1945.

ALEXANDER, Everett M. Cpl.: Son of Mr. Rece C. Alexander, husband of the Former Miss Doris Jean Helton. Entered the
Army Air Corps in April, 1943, trained at Ft. Crook, Nebraska, and  Sheppard Field; served in England, France, Belgium, and
Holland. ETO Ribbon with
Battle Stars and Good Conduct Medal.

ALFORD, Donald L. S 1/c: Son of Mrs. W.L. Alford, Entered Navy in May, 1943, trained at San Diego, and San Bruno CA.
Served in
Hawaii and on Saipan, where now on duty. Awarded Combat Ribbon and other honors.

ALFORD, Thurman W. Chief P.O.:  Son of Mr. and Mrs. J.M. Alford. Entered the Navy in October 1941, trained at Newport RI and Lido Beach, NY; served in the Pacific, now on duty on Leyte. Awarded Pacific Ribbons with Battle Starts and other decorations.

ALFORD, Auther A. Bkr. 1/c: Son of Mr. and Mrs. J.M. Alford, husband of the former Miss Kathleen Spruiell. Entered the Navy in October 1941,trained at Norfolk VA, and Jacksonville FL; served in the South Pacific, now on duty on Luzon. Has Pacific Ribbons, and other honors.

ALFORD, Levi G. Cpl.: Son of Mr. and Mrs. A.J. Alford, husband of the former Miss Jimmie Hall. Entered the Army in 1943, trained at Camp Bowie and Camp Swift, Texas. Served in Scotland, England, France, Belgium, Holland and Germany now on duty in France. Has ETO Ribbon, Good Conduct Medal, Battle Stars, and Rifle Marksmanship.

ALFORD, Ottis D. Sgt.: Son of Mrs. Valeria C. Alford, husband of former Miss Grace Edwards. Entered Army Air Corps in October 1942; trained at Grand Island, Neb; served in England; killed in action in November 1943. Has Purple Heart, ETO Ribbon with Battle Stars.

ALLEN, Leon (Baby) Sgt.: Son of Mr. and Mrs. Tom Allen, husband of the former Miss Keithann Chapman.  Entered the Marines in April 1943, trained at San Diego, CA, Norman, OK, served in Hawaii, Russel, St. Mathias, New Guinea, and Philippines. Has Navy Citation, Philippine Liberation Ribbon with Battle Stars.

ALLEN, J.T. 1st Lt.: Son of Mr. and Mrs. Tom Allen. Entered the Coast Artillery in November 1941; discharged entered the Army Air Corps in July 1942, trained at Camp Wallace, TX, Kiptopeke, VA; Nashville, TN; California, Arizona, Lake Charles, LA; Savannah, GA; served in N. Ireland, England, France, Belgium and Germany. Has ETO Combat Ribbon with Battle Stars, Air Medal and Oak Leaf Clusters.

ALLEN, Ray C. F 1/c: Son of Mr. and Mrs. Ollie Allen. Entered the Navy in January, 1943, trained at San Diego, CA. Served on Midway, Okinawa, and Luzon. Has Pacific Ribbons and other honors.

ALLEN, David H. Pfc.: Son of Mr. and Mrs. W.G. Allen. Entered the Army in 1944, trained at Camp Fannin, TX; Camp Gruber, OK; served in England, France and Luxembourg. Has Purple Heart, Good Conduct Medal, Infantry Combat Badge, European Stripe and one Battle Star.  Wounded in action in January 1945, in Luxembourg.

ALLRED, William D. S/Sgt.: Son of Mrs. Lee Vanderslice husband of the former Miss Mildred Johnson. Entered the Army in June, 1936, trained at Ft. McIntosh, TX; Ft. ALSOBROOKS, Dillard L. Sgt., son of T.A. Alsobrooks, husband of Jimie Allen Burnett. Entered Army in 1943, trained at Aberdeen, MD. Has served at Aberdeen Proving Ground.

ANDERSON,  Vergil Cpl. Son of Mr. and Mrs. C.B. Anderson. Entered Army Paratroops in May, 1943; trained at Camp Roberts, CA, and Ft Benning, GA; served in Ireland, England, France, and Belgium. Now on Duty at Frankfurt, Germany. Has Good conduct medal with Battle Stars and other decorations.

ANDERSON,  John T/Sgt. Son of Mr. and Mrs. G.J. Anderson. Entered the Army Air Corps in January 1942. Trained at Shaw Field, Great Lakes, Montana. Served in England with 8th A.F.; shot down May 24, 1944 over Germany. Was POW one year.  Has Purple Heart, ETO Ribbon, Battle Stars, Air medal, four clusters and other decoration. Wounded in Action in May 1944, Germany.

ARCHER, Max S 2/c. Son of Mr. and Mrs. W.B. Archer, husband of the form Miss Edna Lammons. Entered the Navy in May 1945. Trained at San Diego, CA, Shoemaker, CA.

ARGENBRIGHT, Gwyneth W.. MO MM 3/c. Son of Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Argenbright, attended Dike, Texas schools. Entered the service in October 1944, trained at Idaho, Bruning, Neb. Has ETO Ribbon with Battle Stars, Pacific.

ARGENBRIGHT, Troy G. S/Sgt. Son of Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Argenbright, husband of the former Miss Nellie Rae Howell. Entered the Army Air Corps in May, 1941. Trained at March Field, CA; served in Muroc, CA: Palmdale, CA; Sheppard Field,, TX and Denver, CO. Has Good Conduct Meal and other honors.

ARGENBRIGHT, A.E. S 2/c. Son of Mr. and Mrs. A. Argenbright,  husband of the former Miss Tressie Mae Ross. Entered the Navy in March 1944. Trained at San Francisco, CA. Served in the Aleutians. Has Campaign Ribbon and other honors.

ARNOLD, Harlan H. Sgt. Son of Mr. and Mrs. S.J. Arnold, husband of the former Miss Opal Lamonie. Entered the army Air Corps in June, 1944. Trained in Texas and California with 8th A.F. in Germany. Has ETO Ribbons, Battle Stars and other decorations.

ASHCROFT, Benjamin F. Lt. Son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Ashcroft, entered the Navy Reserve in June, 1942. Trained At Naval training Station, Los Angeles, CA. Served in Honolulu, Oahu, other Pacific islands. Has Combat Ribbons and other decorations. Now on duty at District Communication Office, San Francisco.

ASHCROFT, Enos L. Jr. Lt. Son of E. L. Ashcroft, husband of the former Miss Margaret Henry. Entered the Navy in March 1944. Trained at Tucson, AZ. Has been in New Guinea, Philippines, Australia. Has Combat Ribbons. Now on duty at New Orleans, LA.

ASHLEY, Roy M. S 1/c. Son of Mr. and Mrs. Otto Ashley entered the Navy   September 1942. Trained at San Diego.  Served in Australia, Samoa. Discharged in December 1943.

ATTAWAY, Alton E. Pfc. Son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry  Attaway. Entered the Army in March , 1944. Trained at Camp Fannin, TX; Ft Benning, GA; served with the 11th Airborne Division in Japan. Has Pres Citation, Pacific Combat Ribbon and Battle stars.

ATTAWAY, Nolan C. Sgt.  Son of Mr. and  Mrs. Henry Attaway. Entered the Marines I January 1942, trained at San Diego, CA. Has Good Conduct Ribbon, Combat Ribbon with Battle Stars and other decorations.

ATTAWAY, Warren Pvt. Son of Mr. and Mrs. G.F. Attaway. Entered the Army Anti-Tank in April 1945. Trained at Camp Hood, Texas.

ATTLESEY, Eugene B. M/Sgt. Son of Mr. and Mrs. E.S. Attlesey, husband of the former Miss Julia May Mattison.  Entered the Army Air Corps in September 1942, trained at Muroc, CA; Pendleton, OR; Pueblo, CO. Served in England, France, Belgium, and Germany. Has ETO Combat Ribbon with Six Battle Stars, Pres. Citation, Good Conduct Medal.

AVINGER, Joe. D. Lt. Son of Mrs. L.H. Avinger, husband of the former Maurine Sapaugh. Entered the Navy in March, 1942. Trained  at Portsmouth, VA; Boston, Mass, New York, NY. Served in Convoy Duty to Africa and European Theater. Has ETO Ribbon with Battle Stars and other honors.

BAILEY, Grover H. Pfc.  Son of  Mr. and Mrs. Grover Bailey. Entered the Army in October 1942, trained at Camp Adair, OR; Ft Lewis WA; served in Philippines, Okinawa, Hawaii and Marshalls.  Has Pacific Ribbon with Battle stars, Bronze Star and Good Conduct Medal.

BAILEY, Billie C. Pvt. Son of Alex Bailey, husband of the former Miss Nell Phillips. Entered the Army in May 1945; still in training at Camp Hood, Texas.

BAILEY, Malcolm C. Pfc. Son of M.C. Bailey, entered the Mariens in November 1942. Trained at Camp Pendleton, CA. Served in Hawaii, Iwo Jima, and now in Japan. Pacific Ribbons with Battle Stars and other Honors.

BAILEY, Robert P. Sgt. Son of M.C. Bailey entered Army (Tank Div) in May 9142. Trained at Camp Polk. Served with Gen Patton’s 3rd Army in England, France, Belgium, Germany, Austria  and Czechoslovakia. Has ETO Ribbon with Battle stars and other decorations.

BARKER, Paul F. S/Sgt. Son of Mr. and Mrs. Gordon S. Barker. Entered the 15th Air Force in 1941, trained in Ft. Belvoir, VA:
Keesler Field, Miss. ; served in Middle East, North Africa and Italy. Has Pres. Citation with two Oak leaf clusters. Combat Ribbon with nine battle stars.

BARKER, Freemond C. Cpl. Son of Mr. and Mrs. C.C. Barker, husband of the former Miss Mary Ruth Watson. Entered the Army in September 1940. Trained at Ft. Sam Houston, Texas. BARNARD, Wilson 1st LT. Son of Mr. and Mrs. T. W. Barnard, husband of the former Miss Helen Hanson.  Entered the Army Medical Corpsin October 1939, trained in San Antonio, Texas. Served in Iceland, England, Belgium,  France, and Germany.  Has Bronze Stars, Good Conduct Medal, Purple Heart, ETO Ribbon, American Defense Ribbon, Infantry Badge and others. Wounded in Action in October 1944, in France; December 1944 in Belgium. Killed in Action on April 12, 1945 in Germany.
