What does the County Court at Law do?

 This court serves Hopkins County by hearing and resolving cases, including the following areas of law: family; civil; criminal misdemeanors; Class C appeals; probate; guardianship and mental health. Other cases may be heard by assignment pursuant to subject matter jurisdiction. 


The records of this court are maintained by both the District Clerk and County Clerk For certified copies of court documents, please contact the Clerk’s Office. 

How do I schedule with the Court?

1. View the Court's calendar here

2. Work with the other party or attorney to find an agreed date

3. Email CCL@hopkinscountytx.org to confirm your date with the court

*NOTE, only a party to the case can schedule a court hearing. The coordinator will not schedule with family members or friends. A hearing date cannot be scheduled until the other party has been served or has a waiver of service filed with the Clerk.
